Well, here’s this week’s update: I got absolutely nothing done last week and I’m still on chapter nine! My goal this week is to finish chapter nine and at least make a decent dent in chapter ten.

Chapter Three: One Day In 1990: The Day My Writing Career Was Born Out Of Spite

Then she wagged her index finger in my face and said, “Listen, you don’t just walk in off the street and write for the Peoria Journal Star!” She then spun around and started walking towards the door leading back to the office area.

She was about two feet from me when I said as loud as I could without screaming, “You fucking cunt!”

I made sure and emphasized the word, “cunt” and she briefly froze in her tracks. After a second, she hurriedly made her way to the door and was soon out of my vision.
