Live from Peoria, Illinois, it’s Saturday Night, starring this week’s host, the Peoria Irish Fest with lots of guest stars and musical guests.
So now, let’s welcome this week’s host, all the way from downtown Peoria, the Peoria Irish Fest!
Aerosmith flashback…walk this way…
Here we are at the Gateway Building on Water Street on Peoria’s Riverfront.
I wanted to get a shot of the building without that ambulance in front of it, but I stood there for five minutes and the stupid thing didn’t budge. I’ll try and remember to take a photo of the building when I leave, we need to get this post moving along!
You buy your entrance ticket over here and this friendly woman not only sold me a ticket, she posed and smiled for the MBIP Camera! I love it when that happens!
Okay, here we are inside Peoria’s Irish Fest! Let’s start festivaling on this festive Saturday night!
I wandered into this tent and got a beer from these two nice people and enjoyed some music from this talented trio of musicians!
There’s all kinds of merchandise for sale here and I got a photo of this woman who was posing for someone else, but I jumped in and shot this photo because this is what I do!
I ran into Marc Alghini and it’s always great to see Marc and catch up with him.
Marc has a weekly segment on the Greg and Dan Show, Music Monday With Marc, in the last half hour of the show every Monday. Check it out, it’s entertaining and fun!
There was more entertaining music happening in this tent!
It’s Saturday night and we need to get our Saturday night dinner and as you can see, there’s a lot of food trucks to choose from!
I decided to try out the Hick’ry Stick catering truck.
Mandy took my order and then promptly served it up with a pretty smile!
I got the Turkey Tips and Fries dinner and it looks absolutely fabulous!
The turkey tips and fries are covered with barbecue sauce and the dinner looks delicious, let’s dig in!
The fries are hand-cut and are seasoned perfectly.
The turkey tips are tender, juicy and loaded with flavor! The barbecue sauce adds a nice zing to this savory and flavorful dish.
A spectacular Peoria Irish Fest dinner!
After dinner I ran into Amy, Bruce and Linda and it was nice to see them and we had a fun conversation.
Bruce had a busy weekend as he’s in two bands, Still Shine and Roundstone Buskers and both bands played the Irish Fest.
I had to stop in at Haney’s Pub, not only to get a shot of the nice people serving the drinks up, but I had to get a photo of…
The Greg Haney Crew!
That’s Greg in the center surrounded by his plentiful and friendly crew! It was my honor to get this photo of all of them in their glory!
There was a fantastic Irish band playing the CEFCU Center Stage on the Riverfront.
And this guy wins the MBIP award for the best t-shirt of the evening. And there really isn’t an award because I’m a liar…but it’s still a great t-shirt!
Hooray, that stupid ambulance finally left, so here’s the shot of the Gateway Building I was trying to get at the start of the evening.
And as I walked to my car I took a photo of Peoria from the foot of Main Street.
Another year, another Peoria Irish Fest. Too Rah Loo Rah Loo!
