We’re up to double digits on this doggone tour, but before we start in on that, there’s something that we need to take care of, right here and right freaking now!
MBIP Pal and Wheelman, Scott Turley had a birthday a few weeks ago, so I thought before today’s hot dog outing, we’d have a little birthday celebration for him at the MBIP World Headquarters!
And here’s the Birthday Boy himself, Scott Turley! Always great to see him and have our annual MBIP birthday celebration!
And of course I love his t-shirt!
I got his card and gifts, including this Jesus ashtray at Relics, my favorite gift shop in Peoria!
I also got him a book that details the history of album covers and there he is opening my favorite selection…
Four Roach Clips!
Okay, time to get back to MBIP business here, Happy Birthday, Scott!
Here we are at this week’s hot dog stop on our Dog Days of Summer tour, The Fifth Quarter Sports Bar & Pizzeria…hey, check it out, they’re jumping on the Scott Turley Birthday Bandwagon too! Nice!
Okay, let’s head on in and let this tenth week of hot dog action begin…hey, check out the sign inside of here, it never ends!
We found two empty seats at the bar inside of The 5th Quarter, so we quickly settled in for the evening.
Nikole was the pretty and friendly bartender on duty and she took our hot dog and beer orders.
As you can see, they have a nice selection of beers on tap and a large inventory of bottled and canned beer in the cooler behind the bar. You won’t go thirsty in here!
Cheers from the Birthday Boy himself!
There’s a dining area behind the bar and another one in this back room.
Gaming machines are located right next to the bar and there’s some of the daily specials offered in here.
Meanwhile, back at the bar…
Our appetizer order of onion rings have arrived and they were crispy, perfectly seasoned and delicious!
Scott’s an onion ring aficionado and he gave them his seal of approval. We’re off to a great start!
Here’s the stars of this week’s doggone post, the hot dog dinners!
Scott got a chili-cheese dog with chopped onions and I got the cheese dog with onions. We both added a nice dollop of mustard to the dogs. They look fabulous!
There’s the patent-pending Scott Turley bite photo! I think he got at least half of the dog down in one bite! Spectacular effort from Scott!
He gave the dog a thumbs-up and said it was very tasty.
Now on to my cheese dog with chopped onions and mustard!
This was a tasty, no frills hot dog and the fries were hand-cut and delicious!

Hot Dog Rating
I’ll give this Cheese Dog a nice rating of three and a quarter Wienermobiles.
It was an all beef hot dog complimented nicely by the rich melted cheddar cheese and chopped onions.
The poppyseed bun was bakery fresh and it was a tasty and enjoyable hot dog dinner!
Thanks to Nikole and everyone at The Fifth Quarter for an enjoyable evening and hot dog dinner!
And thanks to the Birthday Boy himself, Scott for driving and hanging out for the evening. It was lots of fun, as always!
