We’re going to be over the halfway mark on this eleven week tour after today’s stop, which is Slow Hand Craft BBQ in Peoria Heights.
Could we please tap into a little saucy traveling music fellows?
You’re a naughty one, Saucy Jack…
Thanks, fellows! And now…
Here we are at Slow Hand Craft BBQ in Peoria Heights. Let’s go in and see what’s happening inside.
It’s looking nice in here and we’re a little past the lunch hour, so there’s plenty of places to sit and relax at on this rib-eating afternoon!
Emily and Jeff greeted us as we walked in and they posed for the MBIP Camera under the lit-up Slow Hand BBQ sign. I love it when this happens! Great to see both of their smiling faces!
We checked out the menu and then…
Went up and placed our order with Emily!
Here’s the half a dozen beers on tap behind the bar where you order.
The full menu and specials are on display on the wall over here and I love the thanks to their Farm Partners. Nice!
You pick up your orders over here and there’s Emily with John, Emily is everywhere!
I love the logo on the wall and they have t-shirts for sale in here too!
They smoke all the meats outside here in these industrial smokers. They’re not messing around here at Slow Hand!
Meanwhile, back inside, here’s Jeff delivering our BBQ lunches!
We have a Mystery Guest today who didn’t want his picture taken, but he got the Austin Patty Melt with homemade potato salad and I got a half slab of the Spare Ribs with the house made Mac ‘N Cheese.
Our Mystery Guest raved about the potato salad and said the Austin Patty Melt was out-of-this-world tasty. It certainly looks delicious!
The Mac ‘N Cheese was absolutely delicious! The cheese is aged white cheddar and parmesan and it is a rich and creamy delight!
Now on to the star of the show…
The Spare Ribs!
These are St. Louis cut ribs and they are dry-rubbed and smoked. They’re juicy, tasty and fall off the bone tender!
As you can see, they have a nice selection of house-made sauces to sample on the ribs and other BBQ selections.
The Spicy sauce lived up to it’s name and had a nice flavor and a perfect kick to it! Tangy and tasty!
The Carolina Fire sauce was equally flavorful and added a nice flavorful zing to the ribs.
These ribs were so tasty and tender and I’ll give them a high rating of 10.3 and with the sauces I’ll take it up to 10.4!
