For this Friday Bites snacking post, I thought we’d go and check out some gas station snacks. What are gas station snacks, you may be wondering.
Well it’ll all be explained below, just keep on scrolling!
Here we are at Circle K gas station on War Memorial Drive.
Let’s go in and I’ll explain gas station snacks to you!
Unlike grocery stores, gas stations have snacks aimed more for the “singular snacker” than the family-sized snacks served in the snack section of a grocery store.
Gas stations have islands of personal-sized snacks for people like me who prefer to snack all alone.
There’s about every personalized sized snack available in here!
They even have their own line of in-house Circle K signature snack items in here! Very impressive!
Okay, I’ve chosen the Friday snack items and since there’s no where to sit in here, we’ll travel back to the MBIP World Headquarters Snacking and Tasting Area.
And through the miracle of these here interwebs, here we are back at the MBIP World Headquarters Snacking and Tasting Area and there’s this week’s snack treats!
I should note that both of these snack items are warm snacks. They were sitting in a heated alcove on one of the snack islands, so this is a first for this series!
We’ll start off with this warm Bavarian Pretzel and two warm dipping sauces: Nacho Cheese Sauce and a Chili Sauce!
I can’t wait to start dipping, so let this week’s snacking begin!
Okay, this was a little bit of a disappointment.
The pretzel was got kind of steamed from being in a bag and traveling from Circle K to the MBIP World Headquarters Snacking and Tasting Area and it’s was really limp and kind of soggy.
Plus both the Nacho Cheese Sauce and the Chili Sauce were super bland and literally added no flavor.
Even when I dipped it in both for a chili-cheese pretzel, there was zero flavor coming through. Let’s move on!
I got a bag of Honey Salt Cashews made by the Jonny Almond Nut Company. They have a website and of course they have a fb page too! What a nutty, nutty company!
When I bought them at the gas station this was a bag of warm nuts. Now, since we’ve traveled home and they’ve sat here for a while, they’re no longer warm nuts, kind of room temperature nuts and they’re a little stale.
Well, this has turned out to be a little less than a snacktacular Friday Bites Friday!
It wasn’t great snacking, but there’s always next week!
Have a fantastic Friday and we’ll see you all tomorrow!
