Okay, time for the final shop of this holiday tour and I saved a very special shop for our last stop. The shop is Moon Dancer Boutique and it’s really a unique and one-of-a-kind shop that’s difficult to describe, you really need to stop in and experience it for yourself. You’ll be happy that you did and I guarantee you’ll become a regular.
I guess if I had to choose one word to describe Moon Dancer Boutique it would be: Magical!
Come on, let’s go to Moon Dancer Boutique and I’ll show you!
Here we are at Moon Dancer Boutique. They recently painted the shop and it’s looking magnificent!
There’s Santa…hey, he’s calling me a Ho! Come on, Santa, that’s not very nice!
Okay, let’s go in and start our eighth and last tour of this festive series!
Wow, it always looks so nice in here and it’s so much bigger than it appears from the outside. This place is a real treasure trove and I love the Moon Dancer painting over here on the wall!
Here’s the owner of Moon Dancer, Julie Vonachen! Great to see her and she’s been running and operating Moon Dancer for close to 30 years here in Peoria! This makes her one of Peoria’s longest running local retail shop owners!
She sent me her thoughts and feelings about Moon Dancer and life in and out of the shop and in the next few photos, I’m going to run them as the captions . Check them out below!
“I know that without a doubt in my mind…the real reason Moon Dancer has stayed a staple over so many 28 years now…is that God has provided me with a platform to bring love and light to others. That’s what a Moon Dancer does.”
“It can be in so many forms…if it’s a kind word, a hug, a pretty little bling to make someone feel special… to a good drive, rental assistance, a job for a recovering addict, to feeding a homeless person on the street.”
“In reflecting on this 2023 year that has been such a struggle for so many including myself…I sometimes lose sight of the fact that we are all here with a purpose.”
“It’s not so much about the things we buy or having cool stuff. It’s about the love we bring into the lives of others…that’s what is most important.”
“It’s sharing what we can with whomever God leads to our door.”
Beautifully put, Julie and thanks for sharing your thoughts about Moon Dancer and life with all of us! That was a wonderful reflection of our life that moves along every day.
Here’s Julie with Kaitlin displaying some soft and warm blankets that just srrived and she said these always sell fast, so hurry in grab one while you can!
This concludes this holiday series and there’s just a few shopping days left, so check out these shops and all of the other local stores here in Peoria! Shop local and shop often!
Support our local shops, they have items not found on Amazon and they are important threads in our Peoria community!
And they’re filled with warm and interesting people here in the Peoria area!
Santa is still calling me a Ho! Julie, make him stop this!
