Live, from Peoria, Illinois, it’s Saturday Night Cheeseburger starring this week’s host, Jack’s On Adams with special guest stars, Moon, Corina, Lacey, Jack, Paul, Steve, Charlie, Rhonda, Sally, Kirk, Danny and Kim and featuring musical guests, Roy Ponce & Friends!
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome this week’s host from beautiful downtown Peoria, Jack’s on Adams!
My friend Moon drove and there he is parking his vehicle. Wonderful parking job, Moon, now let’s go and start our Saturday night!
Here we are at Jack’s On Adams and Moon is leading the way in.
Wow, there’s a big crowd in here to celebrate the second year anniversary of Jack’s On Adams. I squeezed in at the bar and got a cold beer from the two cute and friendly bartenders on duty, Corina and Lacey!
There he is, the man of the hour and evening: Jack, the owner and operator of Jack’s On Adams! Happy Anniversary, Jack and thanks for the wonderful entertainment emporium you’ve added to the Peoria downtown area!
There’s musician Roy Ponce who’s going to be providing the musical entertainment for the evening later on. Great to see both of them!
I see some familiar faces over at this table…
There’s Paul, Steve, Charlie, Rhonda and Sally! They’re all looking fabulous and they’re ready to celebrate this festive second anniversary.
It’s also Paul’s birthday and he just happens to be Jack’s dad. They opened up on Paul’s birthday two years ago, so this is a double celebration! Happy birthday, Paul!
Here’s a shot from the back of the dining room and one from the other end of the bar.
They have a nice gaming room over here just opposite the dining room for all of you gamblers out there!
I ran into Kirk in my travels and it’s always great to see him and catch up on things!
Now that the weather is warming up, the outside beer garden is open! It’s fun to sit out here and watch the world whip by while enjoying a refreshing beverage!
Meanwhile, back at our table, everyone is silhouetted by that damn sunshine! But the good news is, our Saturday night dinner is on the way…
And here it is!
Moon got an appetizer order of the Chicken Lollipops, Sally and Steve got a Pepperoni Pizza and Moon, Paul and I each got the Lou Burger and fries.
Everything looks amazing, the food here is all made from scratch in the kitchen and if you’ve never had the food at Jack’s, you need to stop by and try it out! They’re open for lunch, dinner or a late night snack!
Okay, time to dig in to the Lou Burger!
The Lou Burger comes with your choice of American, Provolone, Swiss or Hot Pepper Cheese. I got the Hot Pepper Cheese on mine along with onions and lettuce. I also added some mustard and of course I got a side of the house made, Jack’d Up Sauce.
This was such a delicious burger and you can read all about it below in the Cheeseburger Rating!
——
CHEESEBURGER RATING
The Lou Burger is two burgers that are cooked thin and crispy on the outside and juicy and tasty on the inside.
The burger is seasoned to perfection and it went so well with the Hot Pepper Cheese.
The bun was toasted, bakery-fresh and the Jack’d Up sauce took it to a level of flavorful perfection!
The Lou Burger gets a well-deserved high rating of three and three quarters Wimpy’s.
I highly recommend it and you need to try this right now! Jack’s is open for lunch and dinner, so get over there and do your tastebuds a well-deserved favor!

And now for tonight’s live musical entertainment…ladies and gentlemen, please welcome…
Roy Ponce & Friends!
Roy Ponce is one of the best guitarists I have ever seen in my life! He has a style all of his own and when he gets into a groove his guitar sounds like a six string orchestra!
This was a fabulous and blistering show with Roy on lead guitar and vocals and the rhythm section of Max Kamm on bass and Bob Kelly on drums made for an amazing power trio!
During a break in the musical action, I told Roy how much I was loving the music and we posed for a photo together.
Danny and Kim came in from Metamora and I got a shot of them with Jack and Moon.
I hadn’t seen Danny in a long time and a lot of you probably know that Danny is the award-winning coach of the Metamora boys basketball team. He’s retiring after this year and you can read about that here. It was great to see him and meet Kim and catch up on things after all of these years!
This was such a fun Saturday evening at Jack’s, with delicious food, fun friends and wonderful live music!
Happy Second Anniversary to Jack’s On Adams and cheers to many more!
