We’re up to the ninth week in the Macaroni & Cheese Tour and this week we’re heading over to Industry Brewing Co. They’ve got a Brisket Macaroni & Cheese on the menu and it sounds interesting.
We’ve also got a special guest star, so let’s go begin our last cheesy week in the single digits on this Macaroni & Cheese Tour!
Here we are at Industry Brewing Co. on Hale Avenue in Pioneer Park.
There’s the front of the building, but you enter over here through this side door. There’s our guest of honor opening the door, we’ll properly introduce him soon!
We settled in at a table in the dining room and our pretty and friendly server, Audrey delivered drinks and took our dinner order.
There he is, this week’s Mac and Cheese guest star, Jim Borho. He’s looking good and it’s great to see him and have him along for this cheesy night on the town!
They have a brewery in the back here and their beer is sold here and many other bars and restaurants in and around Peoria.
The beer garden is open and as you can see it’s spacious with a lot of tables and chairs for outdoor seating now that the weather has started to warm up.
They have a really nice marble-topped bar in here in the front of the dining room. The wood paneled walls in here give the room a nice rustic feel.
They have a nice selection of their Industry brewed beers on tap and a menu hangs over the taps on the wall.
Some Industry Brewing wooden kegs are on display near the side entrance.
This hallway leads to another room down at the end of the building.
This is a nice room with dining tables and lounge areas in the front and back of the room.
Meanwhile, back at our table…
Our appetizers have arrived. We ordered the Pretzels and Cheese and Audrey was kind enough to comp us an additional order of the Smoked Cream Cheese Dip.
Both were rich and tasty and a marvelous start to the evening dinner! There’s Jim digging in to the dip!
And here’s the star of tonight’s show, the Briskit Mac and Cheese. It’s served in a skillet and it looks absolutely delicious!
Jim put his glasses on for this monumental moment and he raved about the Mac and Cheese. Okay, I’m going to dig in to this week’s cheesy offering!
Wow, this is really a flavorful delight!
In addition to the Gouda and Mozzarella cheese, this dish has smoked beef briskit, Jalapeno cured ham and it’s topped with deep-fried jalapeno chips!
The balance of the rich cheese and the savory, smoky and spicy meats and Jalapeno chips make for one fantastic and tasty Mac and Cheese dish. This is one of the best we’ve had so far, absolutely delicious!

MACARONI AND CHEESE RATING FOR WEEK NUMBER Nine AT Industry Brewing Co.
I did not think that anyone could come close to the Mac and Cheese we had at Verandah Cocina Latina in Morton, but this dish did it!
It also gets an unbelievable and over-the-top rating of four and a quarter boxes. There may be a duel at the end of this tour between Verandah and Industry Brewing to see who’s is the best!
Stay tuned!
Thanks to Jim for being this week’s cheesy guest star and for driving us there!
